DETAIL :
Day 1 : Antananarivo - Ampefy
Road to Ampefy (120 km). Stop after few minutes at Lemurs'Park. This is a private small reserve that hold few species of lemurs, tortoises, ... After the visit, go on driving through spectacular scenery of the Highland of Madagascar. Arrived at the village of Ampefy, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, begin a short hike (2 hours) through plantation around the volcanic hills overlooking the entire region until Lily waterfall. This cascade, which is linked to a legend, is situated near a small village. Drive back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Ampefy - Antananarivo
Morning after breakfast, we start walking up on a volcanic hill to see a crater. It is also a panoramic view of the 3rd largest lake of Madagascar, Itasy. Then walk down and crossing the lake on a local pirogue until the "Virgin island". This is the place regarded as the center of gravity of Madagascar. Overview on the lake. Then walk back through a lush landscape. An opportunity to meet local people through small villages. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, drive back to Antananarivo.
